Yup, I totally agree that this is a
good book.
One thing I learn from this book is
the loneliness of being a great man.
Nobody seems to understand him, not
his wife, not his cabinet. There
were so many attack from all side at
his policy. Friends looked for him
only to secure a position in government.
But with his admirable principle and
strong will, he had the courage to
announce the slave emancipation, the
determination to keep the country
united.
Yes, he had his own calculation, his
own motive in many policy. But
afterall, he was a president that
serve his country with his heart.
Overall, this book gives reader a
closer look at the president. Not
only does it mention the strength,
but also the weakness of Lincoln,
giving readers to see Lincoln as a
person just like you and me. It also
let readers to feel the difficulty
and pain that Lincoln experienced in
different phase of his life.

但再也找不到感兴趣的传记了。

我就觉得有些自园其说。很深刻，但是译者
必须深入的理解作者的所指，林肯是一个政
治家，肯定要清晰的事实作背景，译者和作
者所知的历史不一定相同，这就是误求区。
这本书写得很好，如果能用星级的
方式来进行评论的话，我给它最高星
——五星。
作者用了很多小的事情，把林肯这
个性格复杂的人描写得十分传神。
他是一个伟大的人，也是一个平凡
的人，是一个心地善良的人。如果一个
国家的总统能够做到心存他人的话，必
定会给别人带来幸福，虽然他采取了战
争的方式来解决问题。
此书不论从哪一个章节看起，都会
把你深深地吸引住。
