One Point is “摆家谱”, he is toooo
proud of his blood.

It is a good book because it just
shows US in the same way which
most Chinese in China think about
America. I will not wonder when he
sells millions of books, he writes
just with the “USA-Today-style”.
But too much observation is
cursorily.

Donnot treat it as a serious book!

Am I translating the following
paragraph correctly? My Chinese is
not so good, but I think it is
saying that American General John
Pershing captured San Diego,
California from the Mexicans in
1898. If that's so, I don't know
what history book the author got
that from. He is wrong!

oldwolf: This is what he
saw/imagine in the U.S. and this is
what makes his writting
interesting.... Somehow I have the
impression that you don't have to
be in the U.S. to write something
like this...

I cannot accept the "shallowness"
of the writer's story. I hate to
read any journals that do not come
from the close observation based on
real life experience and deep
thought.
I really think the story is only
good for people who like to chat
and laugh after dinner and tea (or
beer) and it may satisfy the
curiosity for some people, who have
never been in the United States and
they are not familiar with real
life and things really happened in
the United States.
Please do not fill the article with
so much wrong historic and non-
factual information. That will
annoy serious people since they
cannot accept the fake stuff in a
journal, which they expect facts
and truth.

Great personality, Great Family,
Great history, Great sencetion,
only several years but you can
describe much more experience than
me. We need more noble, prestige
people. Great Writer.
